Useful Firefox Extensions
These are the Firefox extensions I use. I’ve tried many Firefox extensions and found these to be useful for almost everyone.
If you are not already using Firefox, it is a great alternative for Internet Explorer with plenty of options which allow you to customize and secure the browser. You can download it at http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
AdBlock Plus - Blocks website advertisements.
Better Gmail - Modifies and adds features to Gmail.
CookieSafe - Allow only those cookies from sites you trust. Cookies are blocked until you decide to allow a website to place cookies on your computer. Increases privacy.
IETab - Open a site using Internet Explorer from within Firefox. You are also able to add sites to a list and those sites will automatically be opened in Internet Explorer each time you visit them. Especially useful for sites such as Netflix, which require IE for certain features.
NoScript - Allow only those scripts which you trust and blocks all others. Increases security and privacy.
DownThemAll - Easily download all images or videos from a currently opened web page or images and videos that are linked directly to from the current site.
